Addicted to Drunken Celebrities

If you’ve ever woken up without clothing, lying on the bathroom floor and hung-over, you may be a celebrity… or just a teenager.

Although teen drinking and drug use has GONE DOWN over the past decade, our fascination with those who party it up has reached a fever pitch. Personally, I can’t wait to hear about the latest celebrity who woke up in jail after a night of partying. Which, by the way, was Snoop Dog in Sweden. Apparently drugs are illegal in Sweden too. Go figure.

Last year it was Lindsay Lohan’s antics as a party girl that earned her the spotlight, or at least that’s what Wikipedia thinks.

Heck, we just wrote a post about Britney Spears going crazy.

So whether you’re reading your gossip or reading about the top 50 drunk celebrities, keep in mind that celebrities aren’t the statistics that end up in the obituaries — unless you’re Anna Nicole.

Will Britney Spears end up insane in the Bahrain?

Surprise! The ugly but predictable Britney Spears meltdown continues.

British tabloids reported this week that the former teen pop queen is on suicide watch at a rehabilitation facility in Malibu, Calif.

Also, News of the World reports that Britney has been running around the rehab facility with the numbers “666” inked on her bald head and screaming “I am the Antichrist” — a far cry from the bubbly coos of “Hit Me Baby, One More Time.”

Britney has quickly fallen from superstar to ridiculed tabloid target since her debut album topped the charts in 1999. What’s dragging Brit Brit down? Some pundits say postpartum depression is to blame while others quickly point the finger at ex-husband and former dancer Kevin Federline (at least he shaved his head too, to show support!).

Others say Britney is her own worst enemy and is always doing the wrong thing at the wrong time. She’s already drawn sharp criticism for previous bizarre actions — including a slapdash 55-hour marriage to a childhood friend in 2004, and that time she drove an SUV with her 4-month-old son in her lap.

So, the question is definitely not “Has Britney fallen,” but ”Why?” and “How far will she fall?” Also, can she ever bounce back as a mainstream pop star, or will she end up in Bahrain with Michael Jackson hiding from the spotlight?Share your thoughts in the comments section.
